Hundreds marched against Israel this past Friday in Boston. They marched exercising their First Amendment right, against Israel and in support of the Palestinian theocratic government of Hamas, which bans free speech. From the steps of the oldest free public library in the United States, they marched to the oldest city park in the United States, the Boston Common.

They marched chanting in support of terrorism.

They marched with false accusations of genocide.

They marched holding swastikas.

They marched in support of Hamas.

No one spoke of the hundreds who died over the past few days in Syria.

No one spoke of the dozens of Palestinians killed by Hamas for the mere suspicion of being “collaborators.”

No one spoke of the 160 Palestinian children who died building the Hamas tunnels.

And no one spoke of Israel’s greatest accomplishment thus far. This operation has foiled what may have been the worst terrorist attack in Israel’s history. With 35 tunnels to infiltrate Israel, Hamas planned to send scores of terrorists into Israel, pop up in the middle of towns and villages, in order to murder hundreds of civilians and kidnap many more men, women and children.

One of these tunnels was right under the Kibbutz dining hall where I would play hide and seek as a young child.

It was a frighting sight to see hundreds of anti-Israel and pro-violence protesters march towards the Common. They screamed for “intifada.” The Second Intifada is best characterized by a wave of Palestinian suicide bombings which caused the death of hundreds of Israeli civilians in the early 2000’s. As Dexter Van Zile wrote, it is shocking that several blocks from where the Boston Marathon bombing took place, hundreds of people would be chanting in support of terrorism. Read more about the Second Intifada here.

They marched with lies of genocide, which are repeatedly proven false with video footage and other evidence. They marched without mention of the Hamas refusal to abide by cease fires. They marched without sharing that Hamas has sent hundreds of rockets into Israel over the past year, repeatedly breaking the cease fire every single month.

And we marched as well. Supporters of Israel marched, but with a message of peace. A message against terrorism. A message that is supported by over 70% of Americans. A beautiful thing happened: pedestrians started walking up to us. They thanked us for supporting Israel and shared warm words of encouragement. Remember, America stands with Israel.
